Chapter Chapter 2 in Inclusive Leadership and Employee Voice, 2026, pp 9-24 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter investigates exclusionary leadership forms, including alt-right, toxic, incel, autocratic, and phobic leadership, which stand in stark contrast to inclusive leadership. It explores how exclusionary leaders create divisive environments, suppressing diverse voices and fostering hostility towards inclusion. The chapter analyses the psychological and sociocultural factors that contribute to the rise of these reactionary and toxic leadership forms, focusing on their increasing prominence in organisational contexts.
