Abstract: Abstract This chapter synthesizes the theoretical and empirical insights developed throughout the book to advance an integrated framework of global value chain (GVC) resilience. Moving beyond static and firm-centric conceptions, the chapter conceptualizes resilience as a dynamic, multi-phase, and multi-actor process unfolding through anticipation, response, adaptation, and recovery/continuity. By integrating perspectives from supply chain management and international business, the chapter positions resilience as a relational outcome rather than a property of individual firms. Drawing on comparative evidence, the chapter demonstrates how resilience is enacted through coordinated reconfigurations across four interdependent structural domains: governance, geographical configuration, product portfolio, and technology adoption. The framework highlights how these domains interact over time and are shaped by the heterogeneous roles of multinational enterprises, suppliers, institutions, and emerging collective actors such as industry associations. In doing so, the chapter clarifies the distinct roles of flexibility, adaptability, and agility as antecedents supporting different phases of the resilience process. By formalizing these insights into an integrated framework, the chapter offers a unifying analytical lens for understanding how GVCs respond to, adapt to, and transform under conditions of persistent uncertainty.
