Abstract:
Abstract One of the quiet challenges of mathematical writing is maintaining consistent notation and terminology. A paper or book evolves over months or years. Over time, new symbols are introduced, older ones are redefined, terminology is adopted from multiple sources, and material from earlier drafts is merged. As a result, notation drifts. ChatGPT is remarkably effective at detecting these inconsistencies and proposing coherent, uniform alternatives.
