Abstract:
Abstract This chapter advances the Cultural Distance Integration Model (CDIM) as a foundation for precision integration policies. It demonstrates that cultural distance shapes integration outcomes through threshold dynamics, mechanism-specific barriers, and bidirectional adaptation. Policy design must therefore move beyond uniform interventions, adopting differentiated strategies calibrated to immigrant profiles and contextual conditions. Key dimensions include threshold-sensitive architecture, mechanism-targeted interventions, generational sequencing, gender responsiveness, spatial adaptation, and resource optimization. Implementation requires institutional capacity, political feasibility, and public support, achieved through transparency, participatory governance, and legal safeguards. Precision integration emerges as both an analytical framework and a pragmatic policy imperative.
