Abstract:
Abstract This chapter introduces graphical and numerical techniques for describing the distribution of a categorical variable. Frequency tables are described. Bar charts and pie charts are covered as graphical methods. The SPSS commands to create these are discussed. In addition, the procedure for transforming a variable in SPSS is discussed. Finally, the methods for copying SPSS charts into Microsoft Word are covered.
