Chapter 48 in Handbook of Mathematical Analysis in Mechanics of Viscous Fluids, 2018, pp 2721-2770 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This review is devoted to the low Mach number limits of the Navier-Stokes equations for the compressible fluids in the context of weak solutions. Acoustic waves play a crucial role in these limits. However, in the torus, whole space, and bounded domain cases, the behaviors of acoustic waves are significantly different.
