Chapter Chapter 5 in Heat Kernel Method and its Applications, 2015, pp 197-238 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This is the main chapter of the book describing the crucial ingredients of the heat kernel method. It is an enhanced version of the singular perturbation method described in the previous chapter due to a heavy use of geometric techniques. The main goal is to compute the short-time asymptotic expansion of the heat kernel and the corresponding expansion of the Green function.
