Abstract: Abstract In response to the importance of time-ordering in relating the Feynman and Schwinger–Tomonaga theories, Segal [SG], in Chap. 6, suggested that the provision of (real) mathematical meaning for time-ordering is one of the major problems in the foundations for QED.
