Abstract: Abstract A common scenario in scientific studies occurs when two variables are jointly related in a statistical manner. Could be research on the height and weight by gender and ethnic group; where the weight of an adult is related to the height of a adult from the same gender and ethnic group. The bivariate normal distribution is the typical way to analyze data of this sort. The marginal distributions of the two variables are normally distributed, when their joint distribution is bivariate normal.
