Chapter Chapter 12 in Dynamical Systems with Applications using Python, 2018, pp 297-325 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Almost all dynamical systems can be subject to some sort of feedback control, where a time delay arises due to a finite time interval being required for the system to sense a change and react to it. Also, many dynamical systems, especially in biology, have the delays inherently built in. Seeking solutions to these type of problems has led to the field of mathematics known as Delay Differential Equations delay differential equation , abbreviated to DDEs DDE in most of the literature.
