Abstract: Abstract This chapter examines measures of association designed for two ordinal-level variables that are not based on pair-by-pair comparisons. Included in Chap. 6 are Spearman’s rank-order correlation coefficient, Spearman’s footrule measure of agreement, Kendall’s coefficient of concordance, Kendall’s u measure of inter-rater agreement, Cohen’s weighted kappa measure of agreement, and Bross’s ridit analysis.
