A chapter in Traffic and Granular Flow ’03, 2005, pp 591-596 from Springer

Abstract: Summary In the present work, we have introduced the presence of granular arches in the Tetris model. In this modified Tetris model, the friction between grains is the key parameter and a slipping threshold is defined. Two different regimes have been observed as a function of the slipping threshold.
