A chapter in Hyperbolic Problems: Theory, Numerics, Applications, 2008, pp 1005-1012 from Springer

Abstract: We determine the Riemann solution for a model of counterflow combustion due to injection of air into a porous medium containing solid fuel. Assuming that the combustion front is modeled by a traveling wave, we obtain a family of Riemann solutions for the same initial and injection conditions.
