Abstract:
The simulation of moderate to high Reynolds number flows around solid obstacles of arbitrary shape is one of the most important problems in aero-dynamics, from a practical point of view. Flows over the wings and fuselage of airplanes, off-shore drilling or wind engineering of buildings are relevant examples of situations where this simulations could be of interest.
