Chapter Chapter 10 in The Product Manager's Toolkit, 2010, pp 95-119 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter introduces and describes the “Blackblot Product Manager’s Toolkit™” (PMTK) models (in the core, support and concept categories) that govern the sequence of using PMTK templates and foster well-ordered and well-disciplined processes in product management. Defining roles and responsibilities in product management is a very preliminary step. One also needs to understand how to do what needs to be done - creating deliverables that can be successfully used in the delivery of a product. In addition, a repeatable process that creates successful products needs to be documented, followed, audited, and improved upon. PMTK contains a set of applicable descriptive work models that help guide and facilitate the implementation of that process.
