A chapter in Production Factor Mathematics, 2010, pp 307-326 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Engineers have always been keen to develop technical systems in an “optimal” and efficient manner, considering the amount of attention they give to thorough planning, sound design and meticulous production. In particular, the processes themselves by which these structures are designed and built are also expected to be reliable, highly efficient, well-planned and, therefore, optimal.
