Chapter Chapter 10 in Analysis and Design of Nonlinear Control Systems, 2010, pp 279-313 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Linearization is one of the most powerful tools for dealing with nonlinear systems. Some person says that in fact, what the mathematicians can really deal with is linear problems. Believe it or not, the control theory can treat linear systems perfectly. Hence linearization is an ideal method to deal with nonlinear systems.
