Abstract:
Summary In the contribution, an introduction of the model of compressible flow, transport of mass and energy, and production of energy in a time-dependent domain, which is being developed at Technical University of Liberec, is done. The main focus is concentrated on the finite volume model of advection-diffusion mass transport. The explicit upwind scheme is used, therefore the computational time step is restricted by the stability condition and the phenomenon of numerical diffusion may be significant. A scheme for reduction of numerical diffusion is proposed and numerical tests are presented.
