Abstract: Zusammanfasung Ich bin am 7. Juni 1922 als ältester Sohn von Ignác (Ignatius) Blatt und Boriska (Barbara) Blatt, geb. Hirsch, auf die Welt gekommen; geboren wurde ich in eine Mittelstandsfamilie ungarischer Juden in Siebenbürgen (Transsilvanien), das 1918 die nordwestliche Provinz Rumäniens wurde. Die ersten zwei Jahrzehnte meines Lebens verbrachte ich in der Provinzhauptstadt, die auf Rumänisch Cluj, aufUngarisch Kolozsvár und auf Deutsch Klausenburg heißt.
