Abstract: Abstract In this article we describe the German website Mathematik.de , and the ideas used to try to raise the public awareness of mathematics in Germany. This website was originally created by Ehrhard Behrends. I joined the team in 2007, and since 2009 I have been the editor responsible for the site.
