Chapter Chapter 5 in Chinese Entrepreneurship, 2012, pp 71-75 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Niu is a typical example of a spin-off type of entrepreneur. The roots of his entrepreneurship are not located in his youth and/or education, but in his previous employment. He got a job in a state owned enterprise and acquired a liking for the work. Dissatisfied by certain changes in the organization, he developed the idea of continuing that business on his own account, using the social capital accumulated during his term in the company as his basic resource.
