A chapter in Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications 2011, 2013, pp 481-488 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The article deals with the 2D numerical simulation of the stratified incompressible flows behind the moving thin horizontal strip in the towing tank and over the sinusoidal hill. The mathematical model is based on the Boussinesq approximation of the Navier–Stokes equations. The resulting set of PDE’s is then solved by two different numerical methods. Different boundary conditions are tested.
