Chapter 2 in The Psychology of Human Leadership, 2014, pp 27-60 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In the previous chapter, we explained that leadership is a universal phenomenon that occurs wherever strengths need to be pooled in order to achieve goals that are beyond the reach of individuals. The phenomenon of leadership can be observed among humans and animals alike, in every culture and throughout history. The history of humankind is related first and foremost on the basis of great leaders. The success of our own lives is highly dependent on both successful self-leadership and the question of whether we are led by able and successful leaders.
