Abstract:
Abstract Our research integrated the Internet-enabled Process View (IEPV) and the IT-izing process of business capability to explore the internal formation mechanism of inter-firm eBusiness capabilities. According to the enterprise survey data, we used SPSS18 and LISREL8.72 to verify the formation model of inter-firm eBusiness capabilities and found that the formation of the inter-firm eBusiness capabilities was the process of inter-firm eBusiness capability needs → inter-firm eBusiness resources → inter-firm eBusiness capabilities. We also revealed the moderating effect of formal governance in the process of inter-firm eBusiness resources → inter-firm eBusiness capabilities. These findings have important theoretical and practical implications when guiding enterprises to establish the inter-firm eBusiness capabilities in multiple organizations environment.
