Abstract: Résumé On m’a demandé de parler des travaux de De Rham consacrés à la théorie des variétés différentiables. C’est une tâche agréable et périlleuse à la fois: agréable, car il est toujours plaisant d’évoquer de beaux résultats de mathématiques, aussi profonds qu’élégants; — périlleuse, car pour en bien parler il faudrait posséder les mêmes qualités de clarté et de précision que l’auteur, et être capable, comme lui, de suggérer beaucoup de choses en peu de mots.
