Chapter 5 in MuPAD Tutorial, 2004, pp 125-134 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Consider: //» delete x, a: y := a + x a+x Since the identifiers a and x only represent themselves, the “value” of y is the symbolic expression a + x. We have to distinguish carefully between the identifier y and its value. More precisely, the value of an identifier denotes the MuPAD object that the system computes by evaluation and simplification of the right hand side of the assignment identifier:=value at the time of assignment.
