A chapter in High Performance Computing in Science and Engineering ’99, 2000, pp 295-303 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this investigation, unsteady, three-dimensional, supersonic flow with nonequilibrium chemistry in a square channel with transverse hydrogen injection was numericaly analyzed. To this end, the concepts of large eddy simulation (LES) were applied to a model supersonic combustion chamber using the three-dimensional solver of the compressible Navier-Stokes equations with chemical reactions called “ACHIEVE”. The time accurate computation was accelerated by an implicit method.
