A chapter in Traffic and Granular Flow ’99, 2000, pp 499-504 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The interface dynamics in rotating cylinders of an initially well-segregated binary particle configuration is studied numerically. The process is characterized by calculating diffusion coefficients for different friction and density ratios. A transient segregation wave is observed in the mixing regime.
