A chapter in Computer Algebra in Scientific Computing CASC’99, 1999, pp 233-239 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract We discuss the algorithm for finding the relative and absolute stability positions and invariant manifolds of systems of differential equations. The proposed approach is based on the analysis of stationary sets of first integrals of the system. Example applications of this algorithm to mechanical problems are presented. In some stages of solution the tools of computer algebra are used.
