Abstract:
Abstract The soil venting method is commonly used for the remediation of water-unsaturated soils containing organic contaminants which are often specified as VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) or NAPL’s (non aqueous phase liquid). The principle of in-situ soil venting technique is based on an induced air flow in the contaminated soil region from which gaseous contaminants can be removed and by which volatilization of liquid-phase contaminants is enhanced.
