Chapter Chapter II in Trees, 1980, pp 69-136 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The letter K denotes a field with a discrete valuation v; recall that v is a homomorphism of K* onto Z, such that $$v\left( {x + y} \right) \ge {\rm{Inf}}\left( {v\left( x \right),v\left( y \right)} \right){\rm{ for }}x,y \in K,$$ with the convention that v(0) = + ∞.
