Chapter Chapter 1 in Solving Problems in Scientific Computing Using Maple and MATLAB®, 1997, pp 1-25 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this section we will use Matlab to solve two similar systems of differential equations. First we generalize the classical tractrix problem to compute the orbit of a toy pulled by a child, and then we compute the orbit of a dog which attacks a jogger. We also show how the motions may be visualized with Matlab.
