Abstract: Zusammenfassung Siedler von Catan von Klaus Teuber erschien 1995 und wurde im selben Jahr Spiel des Jahres. Weltweit wurde das Spiel alleine bis 2002 über 10 Mio. Mal verkauft. Es ist in über 20 verschiedenen Sprachen in mehr als 40 Ländern erhältlich. Mittlerweile gibt es zahlreiche Erweiterungen wie Die Seefahrer, Städte und Ritter oder Händler und Barbaren. Die Faustregeln beziehen sich jedoch nur auf das Basisspiel.
