Chapter 10 in Strategic International Management, 2015, pp 229-249 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract As has been shown in the preceding Chapters, MNCs are characterised by internationally dispersed activities. To integrate all of an MNC’s activities and organisational units under a common strategy, coordination is necessary. This Chapter is an overview of different coordination mechanisms, including the strengths and shortcomings of each mechanism.
