Abstract: Zusammenfassung Es hat sich etwas geändert. Seit der vorigen Auflage dieses Buches wird die Mathematik populär. Kein peinliches Schweigen mehr, wenn jemand auf einer Party sagt, er sei Mathematiker, stattdessen Bewunderung. Das Kokettieren damit, von Mathe keine Ahnung zu haben, ist auch nicht mehr en vogue. Und dass Mathematiker verschrobene Käuze seien, dieses Vorurteil befindet gleichfalls auf dem Rückzug.
