Chapter 8 in Karl Weierstraß (1815–1897), 2016, pp 269-285 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract One of the best-known of the contributions of Karl Weierstraß concerns his critical legacy, associated with specific counterexamples. In this chapter we examine three such counterexamples, looking at the importance that they had for Weierstraß and his school as well as some of the impacts they produced in the mathematics of the decades that followed.
