Abstract: Zusammenfassung Hirzebruch trat am 1.6.1956 sein Amt als Extraordinarius in Bonn an. Bereits am 26.6. erfolgte die Ernennung zum persönlichen Ordinarius. Dies bedeutete, dass er in Bezug auf die akademischen Rechte den Ordinarien gleichgestellt wurde. Zum 1.4.1958 wurde das Extraordinariat in ein Ordinariat umgewandelt, und am 12.8.1958 wurde Hirzebruch zum ordentlichen Professor ernannt.
