A chapter in Problem Posing and Solving for Mathematically Gifted and Interested Students, 2023, pp 169-227 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter contains three teaching units for enrichment activities with mathematically interested children, “Discoveries in a 10-adic Number World”, “Combinatorial Checkerboard Problems for Kids”, “Elementary Length Formulas for Triangles and Quadrilaterals”. They are preceded by an introductory section which aims at illustrating in which contexts the presented teaching units have been used. These teaching events belong to different projects which are described briefly in the first section.
