Chapter Chapter 6 in Enterprise Architecture in the Digital World, 2024, pp 165-218 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The digital world has changed our lives in unprecedented ways. It offers countless opportunities for innovation and progress. However, amidst this technological revolution, we encounter environmental, social, and economic challenges that will have long-term effects on our economic actions. Here, it is crucial as an enterprise architect not to lose sight of the fundamental human capabilities and to connect them with the principles of “New Work” and a strong sustainability ethos. The combination of these three elements opens up a promising perspective to make the digital world not only more efficient and agile, but also sustainable, human-centered, and future-oriented. In this chapter, we will delve deeply into this concept and use it in the design of new EA roles.
