Chapter Chapter 4 in Lean & Green: Best Practice, 2025, pp 49-69 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract As outlined in the previous chapters, a holistic lean management approach facilitates the integration of sustainability aspects into business processes. Building on this, the following chapter will present specific areas of action to demonstrate how sustainability can be embedded in manufacturing companies. Starting with the definition of a sustainability strategy, three examples will illustrate how lean and green initiatives can be more closely integrated.
