Chapter Chapter 3 in Introduction to the Theory of Nonlinear Optimization, 1996, pp 33-79 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter various customary concepts of a derivative are presented and its properties are discussed. The following notions are investigated: directional derivatives, Gâteaux and Fréchet derivatives, subdifferentials, quasidifferentials and Clarke derivatives. Moreover, simple optimality conditions are given which can be deduced in connection with these generalized derivatives.
