David Hilbert

Chapter 29 in The Theory of Algebraic Number Fields, 1998, pp 233-251 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract As in Sect. 125 let be a number in the field k(ζ) such that $${\text{M = }}\sqrt[l]{\mu }$$ does not lie in k(ζ) and let k(M,ζ) be the Kummer field generated by M and ζ for each number A in k(M,ζ) we shall denote its relative norm with respect to k(ζ) by N k (A).
