Chapter Chapter 2 in Handling Societal Complexity, 2015, pp 17-33 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter, Design of the Study, gives the motivation of the choice of the study and the description of the scientific and the societal impact of the study. The main concepts used in the study are introduced and explained. The research problem is formulated and operationalized as a set of research questions. Some of the theoretical and methodological starting points of the study are discussed, followed by the constraints and bottlenecks of the study. The chapter concludes with a discussion of the theme of the study.
