Abstract: Zusammenfassung Euklid, eigentlich Eukleides (Ευκλείδης) genannt, wurde vermutlich um 360 v. Chr. in Alexandria geboren. Seine Ausbildung hat er wohl in Athen erfahren, da er von dort durch Ptolemaios I Soter (regierte von 305–285 v. Chr.) nach Alexandria berufen wurde.
