Abstract: Zusammenfassung HippokratesHippokrates von Chios – nicht zu verwechseln mit seinem Namensvetter, dem Mediziner Hippokrates von Kos – lebte in der zweiten Hälfte des 5. Jahrhunderts v. Chr. Er war ein etwas naiver Kaufmann, der sein Vermögen verlor und daher zu Studien nach Athen übersiedelte. Aristoteles berichtet in [Ethik ad Eudem., VII, c.14].
