The Hyperbolic Differential Equation in Three Variables

Peter Halfar

Chapter 19 in Stresses in glaciers, 2022, pp 197-200 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The solution of the hyperbolic differential equation given in distributional form is explained. This solution occurs in the models “f” and “g”, in each of which three selected components of the deviatoric stress tensor can be taken as arbitrary functions within the framework of the general solution.
