Diversity and Power Shift

Julia Duwe ()

Chapter Chapter 7 in Boardroom 2030, 2025, pp 95-107 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Chapter 7 discusses the developments of the last 25 years—with regard to gender quotas and diversity in supervisory boards and top management. We meet Professor Manuela Rousseau, one of the most well-known supervisory board members in Germany. Ms. Rousseau has been a member of the Beiersdorf AG supervisory board since 1999. She has been advocating for more diversity for many years. At the same time, she sheds light on her role as an employee’ representative and describes why she always acts with 'both hands' in this position.
