Abstract: Zusammenfassung Wir nehmen jetzt an, daß von einer ganzen rationalen Funktion nicht die Koeffizienten a n , ... a 0 in der früher (III. Kap.) eingeführten Bezeichnungsweise gegeben sind, sondern es sollen die n+1 Werte gegeben sein, die die Funktion an den Stellen x 0, x 1, ... x n annimmt, sie seien y 0, y 1, ... y n , und man sucht ein Verfahren, um daraus die Funktionswerte y der Funktion n ten Grades an beliebigen Stellen x zu berechnen.
