Chapter Chapter 9 in Introduction to Singularities, 2018, pp 199-212 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we study deformations of singularities by varying parameters. In any deformations, singularities deform under certain orders. We will see this in Sect. 9.1, and in Sect. 9.2 we will see that there exists a big deformation which contains every deformation. We assume that the varieties are defined over $$\mathbb {C}$$ .
