Chapter Chapter 5 in Sequence Spaces and Measures of Noncompactness with Applications to Differential and Integral Equations, 2014, pp 147-184 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The degree of non-compactness of a set is measured by means of functions called measures of non-compactness. In this chapter we study the three main and most frequently used measures of non-compactness (MNCs).

Keywords: Kuratowski measure of noncompactness; Hausdorff measure of noncompactness; Inner Hausdorff measure of noncompactness; Istrăţescu measure of noncompactness; Axiomatic definition of a measuare of noncompactness; Kernel of a measure of noncompactness; Regular mesure of noncompactness; Measure of noncompactness of operator; Condensing operator; Darbo theorem (search for similar items in EconPapers)
